IFWA Writers’ at the Improv 2026
The following is the Writers’ at the Improv Story for 2026 held at the WWC 2026. Enjoy the chaos:

“Hey, Grady Ent!” shouted the hobbit at the towering ambulatory tree, “you just stepped on an elf!” (gradient)
Hipp O’Campus the Irish dwarf thought he would kill himself laughing as Grady Ent lifted his foot to reveal the elf flattened on his woody heel like a pointy-eared bug, and shouted, “Better scrape that off before it leaves a stain!” (hippocampus)
A dwarf swirled about in her new roid skirt, but the Irish dwarf rudely yelled, “Hem her roid higher and show some leg!” (hemherroid)
Which was, of course, when the translunar shuttle landed on the whole assorted party with a splat. (translunar)
Saul T. Smith, the shuttle captain, disembarked, noting, “That was unexpected,” and promptly slipped on the splattered party members. (salty)
Close behind him came Flumm Ox, the beast of burden every shuttle had been required to carry to haul equipment ever since robots were outlawed, and it, too, slipped in the splatter and landed on the captain. (flummox)
The ox from planet Nox vainly attempted to use his vestigial wings to right himself and kicked the captain in the head. (vestigial)
Smith subsided into the goo with a groan, leaving the ox as the last being standing. Unfortunately, it was suffering from advanced crustaceous diphtheria and expired shortly after. The stowaway outlaw robot emerged from the shuttle’s hold, snorkelling through the splat and exclaimed, “I win!”, but the original flattened elf’s family arrived to seek revenge, so the triumph was short-lived. (crustaceous) (diptheriaa).
